Banana Cream Pie

 


This banana cream pie features homemade pudding. It is one of the most delectable sweets on the planet!

This is the perfect banana cream pie: creamy, velvety, and decadent while remaining light and lovely. You'll adore the creamy, crispy, light, and fluffy elements working together in each mouthful, which are full of banana flavour and contain no artificial chemicals!

Ingredients:

Butter cookies 250g

Butter melted 2-3 tbsp

Egg yolks 4

Sugar ½ Cup or to taste

Cornflour ½ Cup

Milk 2¼ Cup

Cream 300ml

Vanilla essence 1 tsp

Banana 3 or as required

Lemon juice 1-2 tbsp 

Sugar ¼ Cup

Water ½ Cup

Cream 2-3 tbsp

Walnuts chopped ½ Cup

Cream whipped (for topping)

Banana slices (for topping)


Method:

~Add butter cookies to a chopper and crush cookies in a processor.

~Add melted butter and chop once more.

~Transfer to a serving dish, press firmly into the base to form an even layer, and chill for 30 minute

~In a mixing dish, whisk together the egg yolks, sugar (1/2 cup) , cornflour, and milk (1/4 cup)

~In a wok, combine the milk (2 cups) and cream and whisk well.

~Add vanilla extract, mix well, and heat to a simmering temperature.

~Add half of the heated milk to the egg mixture gradually and whisk continuously. 

~Now, add the entire mixture to the remaining heated milk, mix well, and cook on low heat until it thickens.

~Transfer the mixture to a serving plate, spread evenly, and chill for 1 hour or until cooled down completely.

~Slice the banana and squeeze the lemon over it. Set it aside.

~In a frying pan, combine sugar (1/4 cup) and water and simmer over low heat until the sugar caramelises and turns brown.

~Add cream and stir thoroughly over low heat.

~Mix in the banana slices well.

~Mix in the walnuts well.

~Place the mixture in a serving dish and chill until cooled down completely.

~Top with whipped cream and banana slices and serve.
