This Tasty and Easy Apple Cake Recipe is perfect for evening treats. The Spongy Cake at the bottom and the layer of apple slices on the top is a super delicious snacks to have with a cup of coffee or tea. This great recipe is one of my favorite fall-season desserts. Ingredients:
► 3 large eggs ► 70 grams of granulated or white sugar ► 70 grams of brown sugar ► 1 tablespoon of vanilla ► 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
► 120 grams / ½ cup of plain or vanilla yogurt ► 50 ml / 4 tablespoons of olive oil or any of your favorite veggie oils ► 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar
► 250 grams / 1 ⅔ cups of wheat flour ► 11 grams / 3 teaspoons of baking powder ► ¼ teaspoon of salt
Method:
⧫ In a bowl add eggs, granulated or white sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon and mix them well.
⧫ Now add plain or vanilla yogurt, oil, lemon juice, or vinegar, and mix them well.
⧫ Sift the dry ingredients (wheat flour, baking powder, salt) then add them and mix them well.
⧫ Coat a pan with butter (pan size: 23.5 cm x 12.7 cm x 8 cm).
⧫ Sprinkle flour over the pan.
⧫ Transfer the batter to the pan.
⧫ Slice 280 grams / 2 small apples into thin layers.
⧫ Place the apple slices on top of the batter.
⧫ Sprinkle powdered sugar on top of the batter.
⧫ Add small pieces of butter (20 grams total) on top of the apples and batter.
⧫ Bake it in a preheated oven at 170°C / 340°F for 50 minutes.
⧫ Let it cool down.
